Job Title: Business Analyst

Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join a dynamic team within a leading payments business. This role is instrumental in driving technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business performance. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead analysis for small projects or workstreams within larger programmes, ensuring business needs are met efficiently.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and communicate clear project requirements.
* Provide innovative recommendations to support effective solution delivery.
* Work as part of a project team, estimating and aligning delivery timelines with overall project goals.
* Adhere to governance processes and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
* Engage with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and fulfilled within the change management process.
* Facilitate communication between users, clients, management, and developers.
* Clearly articulate project requirements, requested changes, and testing results to ensure project success.
Decision-Making & Problem-Solving
* Analyse complex business challenges and recommend effective solutions.
* Use sound judgment to assess situations, gather stakeholder input, and determine the best course of action.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data-driven insights.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and influencing capabilities.
* Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum and Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
* Knowledge of lifecycle management, API integrations, and cloud-based applications.
Desirable Skills
* Ideally prior experience in a financial environment/banking industry
* Experience with SQL.
* Familiarity with financial regulations and a keen interest in banking.
* Knowledge of payment technologies and the payments industry.
