The Role: As an Account Manager, you will take on a hybrid role, balancing the growth of new business opportunities with the expansion and development of existing accounts. Your primary objective will be to drive revenue by targeting digital-native businesses, landing new clients, and maximizing opportunities within current accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, developing strategic plans, and driving measurable growth. Your core goals as an Account Manager are to: Win new clients by identifying and targeting digital-native businesses, understanding their unique challenges, and positioning Datatonic’s services as the solution to their needs. Expand and deepen existing accounts by building trusted, strategic relationships with stakeholders, identifying additional opportunities for collaboration, and driving incremental revenue. Your responsibilities will include: Driving New Business Development: Proactively identifying, targeting, and engaging digital-native businesses that align with Datatonic’s services and expertise. Developing tailored value propositions for prospective clients based on their industry, challenges, and goals. Leading the end-to-end sales process for new clients, from initial outreach and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and contract signing. Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., Go-To-Market, Tech Consulting) to execute outreach campaigns and generate leads. Expanding and Growing Existing Accounts: Developing and owning strategic account plans for your clients, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and expand the scope of engagements. Working with delivery teams to demonstrate the business value of completed projects and propose follow-up work. Building comprehensive stakeholder maps and fostering relationships with key decision-makers across multiple teams and business units. Acting as the Commercial Lead for All Accounts: Managing the overall commercial relationship with both new and existing clients, ensuring smooth transactions, including MSAs and understanding buying processes. Collaborating with partners, such as Google Cloud, to identify joint opportunities and strengthen relationships within accounts. Leading account reviews and QBRs to share progress, identify future opportunities, and align on goals. Maintaining a Balance Between New and Existing Business: Continuously assessing the time and resources allocated between new business efforts and existing accounts to ensure targets are met across both areas. Driving growth across the portfolio by effectively prioritizing and balancing prospecting efforts with nurturing existing relationships. Requirements: Professional experience in a fast-paced client facing and results oriented environment. A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them, with a proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth Ability to communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders across functions (especially tech, engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance) Ability to lead and motivate others, including a good understanding of how to motivate tech teams You have a consultative ‘listen-first’ approach and understand what motivates people & tailor your messaging accordingly. Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities. Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
