An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer role in the Large Pressure Vessels Producibility Team has arisen within the New Build and Components Business, in Nuclear (Submarines).

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time (SQCD).
What you will be doing:
This role is based within a large pressure vessel Producibility team. The role includes, but is not limited to:
* Execute Manufacturing continuous improvement activities, including the design of the overall Method of Manufacture and of individual process steps using the Product Quality Planning toolset.
* Create and validate Production Technical Packages which are capable of delivering design intent and meeting customer and business requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate & lead time (SQCD).
* Accountable for being the manufacturing technical authority for the product.
* Supporting production issues relating to management of non-conformance, significant method resequencing, safety or method queries or concerns.
Who we’re looking for:
* Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent).
* Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) where available.
* General understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to their business.
* General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business.
* Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to their role.
