In this role, you will source and risk assess suitable reparation sites, manage the Positive Futures programme and develop engaging intervention activities that empower young people to participate in local community initiatives. Within this role, you will: Source, develop and risk assess reparation sites/activities and ensure effective operation of these programmes. This will include responsibility for the Positive Futures programme and developing activities for young people. Assist the Team Manager in managing the activities budget and be responsible for the effective operation of our reparation unit, including health and safety. Support the development of reparation activity and manage the delivery of activity sessions for young people under Youth Justice Service supervision Allocate work, providing progress and quality reports regarding young people undertaking Positive Futures, reparation and its effectiveness. Ensure victims’ views in respect of reparation are taken into account and work in accordance with the Restorative Justice Council Handbook Standards and the Victims Code when working with young people, parents/carers and victims. Undertake assessments of young people in respect of the appropriateness of reparation activities and communicate with parents/carers to offer support and monitor young person’s progress. Ensure that work with young people conforms to National Standards for Youth Justice and ensure records are maintained in accordance with management information requirements for monitoring and evaluation Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of legislative changes, Youth Justice Board procedures and local protocols and to put these into practice as required.
