Are you a skilled welder-fabricator looking for your next role? Fancy working for a busy workshop in Waterlooville, alongside other budding engineers? If so, read on! £13.75 per hour
The Role
This job would see you working in an engineering environment, for a company which fabricates parts for the telecommunications industry. Your role would be to fabricate and then MIG and TIG weld various metal parts (mainly sheet metal, and mainly steel) down to roughly 2mm which would then be used to house wires and various electrical parts. Working from mechanical drawings and inspecting your own work, you will be a key player in the weld and fabrication team. The ability to competently fabricate, and MIG and TIG weld is essential for this role, although no formal qualifications are required.
The Company
This engineering company is a key player in British Telecommunications, and has projects ranging from the O2 Arena to the M27 Smart Motorway. The various projects ensure new and different welding work, as well as the chance to develop and learn as you work. Buzzing with activity but with a real tight-knit feel, this company looks after its workers and is keen to help you reach your potential.
The Details
The vacancy is on the day shift and will see you working on-site. Based in Waterlooville, this role is a stone's throw from the A3 and therefore easy to commute to from Portsmouth or Cosham. Rates of pay are dependent upon skill and experience, although a base rate of £13.75 PAYE per hour is a good ball-park figure.
