Office Based - Southampton (Up to 2 days WFH after probation) This role is for an ambitious and innovative content creator who is passionate about creating engaging social-first content to make their mark with a leading global brand. Reporting into the UK Social Media Manager, you’ll plan, create, execute and measure an engaging content calendar for organic social, maximising product launches and bringing our campaigns to life. You’ll also be the point of contact for our external content creators and will lead online community management on our UK social feeds This role requires a creative individual with flair and a passion for creating social-first content. The perfect candidate will be capable of building effective content plans to engage local audiences, whilst always retaining the global brand identity. As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide a social media portfolio or examples of content you have created. Key Duties include; Daily management of Garmin UK social media channels in line with UK and Ireland marketing strategy Create engaging, social-first content for Garmin UK social channels (organic and paid) which promotes key brand-focussed messages in a clear and effective way, retaining the global brand identity at all times Deliver effective and consistent community management by playing an active role on our social feeds Manage the social media calendar to maximise the impact of product launches, events and brand campaigns (both global and local content) Research and monitor the latest social media marketing trends and maintain a level of professional knowledge of social media tactics available to Garmin Manage influencer communications across multiple segments to ensure relationships with our brand advocates remains strong and output is effective Collaborate with Segment Marketing team on brand ambassador plans, ensuring we maximise the opportunity on Garmin and ambassador social channels Work alongside Social Media Manager to track and report on social media activity, converting data into insight in order to achieve maximum ROI. Ensure effective internal communications to ensure all stakeholders are informed of social media activity. Experience & Education Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar social media role Experience creating engaging and innovative social-first content for a brand Good level of content editing skills. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or Photoshop is a bonus. Experience managing and engaging with online communities for a brand Experience working with influencers and managing relationships Excellent social media copywriting skills Experience measuring the success of social media marketing and community management Excellent organisation, planning, and analytical skills Proficiency using and/or willingness to learn social media management tools such as Sprinklr and Klear. Capable of working autonomously and multitasking in a high-pressure environment Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills Must have creative flair, passion for fitness and the outdoors.
