Assistant Manager

Salary; Up to £37,000
Permanent, Full time (37.5 hrs per week).
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an Assistant Manager to join one of our private clients. The role will be to assist in the management of a multidisciplinary workforce ensuring the clients policies / procedures and values are adhered to with due consideration to the regulations and outcomes surrounding registered services. This may include having registered manager responsibility. Along with ensuring the care and support offered to each person is of the highest quality, meeting individual needs sensitively and striving to enable People We Support to maximise their potential.
What you'll do:
* Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands on management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practises and attitude.
* Help and support the service/area manager in establishing and keeping track of the capital, revenue, and budgets for each area within the location.
* In compliance with the policies and procedures of the client, assume line management responsibility for a group of employees, which may include Team Leaders, as instructed by the line manager.
* To guarantee a multidisciplinary team approach to service delivery, be ready to meet on a frequent basis with workers, clinicians, families, representatives of the local authority, and other stakeholders. On occasion or when necessary, this may necessitate working unsociable hours, such as weekends and evenings.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
* Ensure the outcomes within the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are met thus establishing compliance to Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission Regulations 2009
What we're looking for:
* QCF (NVQ) level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health (a commitment to work towards may be considered).
* Knowledge and comprehension of what makes a certain service or experience of high quality.
* Expertise in overseeing and directing junior employees through official evaluations and supervision in order to preserve and raise morale and quality.
* In depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes
