We are looking for an exceptionally talented Product Designer to join the subscriptions team of this well-known consumer media brand helping them to create world-class user experiences for their various household brands.
Their brands have been pioneers of popular journalism, attracting the media industry’s best talent and reaching new audiences with innovative technologies. They deliver highly engaging, trusted content to millions of loyal readers around the globe, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As a Product Designer within the subscriptions team, you will play a key role in acquiring new subscribers and shaping their user experience.
You will bring a strong mix of creativity, technical expertise, and user-centered design thinking to the team.
What we’re looking for:
● Proven design expertise: A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create visually compelling and highly functional designs, with a focus on user experience and attention to detail. ● Experience with subscriptions: You have experience designing and optimising user journeys for acquisition funnels, with a focus on driving engagement and conversion. You understand how to create seamless, intuitive experiences that guide users through the subscription process.
● End-to-end design skills: You are confident in all stages of the design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final delivery. You have excellent visual design and UX skills, as well as the ability to conduct competitor research, create process flows, and develop wireframes.
● Proficiency in design tools: You are highly skilled in Figma and other design tools, enabling you to create polished presentations, interactive prototypes, and design systems.
● Structured approach: You can work methodically to develop design assets, mockups, and prototypes, ensuring they are ready for stakeholder review and implementation.
● Strong communication skills: You can confidently present your ideas and articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, demonstrating how they align with user needs and business goals.
● User research and data analysis: You have experience conducting user research and analysing usage data to inform and validate your design decisions.
● Collaborative mindset: You thrive in a team environment, working closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver exceptional results.
● Continuous improvement: You are committed to refining your creative skills and staying up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
● Interest in media and news: While prior media experience is not essential, a keen interest in news and awareness of the industry is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
● A BA degree in UX/UI, Graphic Design, or a related design discipline is preferred but not essential.
● 2–4 years of experience in a product design or UX/UI design role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful design solutions.
