Brook Street Ltd is pleased to announce a temporary available position within the National Probation Service, based primarily in the Fareham office. This role is a full-time, on-site temporary contract with a standard schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break. Additional shifts until 7:00 PM may be required on a rota basis once or twice per week. Role Details: Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour Location: Fareham Probation Office, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham PO16 7AZ Schedule: Standard hours are 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional evening shifts until 7:00 PM on a rotational basis. Duration: until 31/02/25 with possibility of extensionResponsibilities: Providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Following set procedures and exercising independent judgement under general supervision. Tasks include but are not limited to: Answering calls on a busy reception from various agencies, including people on probation. Scanning documents and updating offender records. Signing in visitors. Reporting maintenance jobs. Adhering to building health and safety protocols. Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks for Probation Practitioners and Managers.Requirements: Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to adapt to various software and systems. Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues, visitors, and agency representatives. Organisation and Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
