Tracsis Events are recruiting for Traffic Management Operatives to support the delivery of events services nationwide.
Role: Traffic Management Operative
Location: Nationwide
Hourly Rate: £15.13 - £16.25 (inclusive of holiday pay) dependant on level of qualifications held. Please note these are current rates and 2025 rates from April will likely increase.
Benefits: In addition to a competitive hourly rate, TMOs will receive daily subsistence of £22 when working onsite for Tracsis Events. Mileage costs will also be covered to and from place of work. If driving a company vehicle with equipment to an event, you will be paid for travel hours. Shared accommodation will be provided for all overnight stays.
Role: As a Traffic Management Operative, your role will be to assist in traffic management connected to the company’s event service provision. This involves working around live traffic where workers are required to hold a NRSWA or Lantra 12D qualification. Key responsibilities include:
1. Deploying event signage according to a predetermined signage plan;
2. Installing and manning road closure positions;
3. Deploying and operating temporary traffic lights;
4. Using a stop/go operation to assist in event traffic flow and pedestrian crossing points;
5. Performing other event-related traffic roles that require TMO qualified staff.
Working Hours: This role is PAYE on a casual basis and shifts will be allocated depending on your availability. You are not required to be available at all times, but the ideal candidate would be able to work weekends as per the events season. During the events off-season, we will be working closely with other TM providers in the country to ensure we have work available for our staff year-round.
Necessary Attributes: Candidates must be comfortable with a level of physical labour and be able to be on their feet for long periods of time; deployment of signage, cones, sandbags, and traffic lights can be physically demanding. This role will also entail travel and overnight stays, and the ideal candidate would be able to work weekends. A full driving license is required for this role. Unfortunately, we are unable to employ anyone under 18 for this role.
Desired Attributes: We encourage applicants who already hold NRSWA or LANTRA qualifications to apply but are also accepting applicants who do not hold any traffic management qualifications. As a certified training centre, Tracsis Events can provide in-house training for the necessary traffic management qualifications for this role. Applicants requiring training must complete 32 hours of work as a minimum with Tracsis Events as part of the induction process prior to attending the training course.
To apply: Please apply through this advert on Indeed and one of our team will message you with further information.
We look forward to hearing from you!
