Medics PCN are looking for a newly qualified GP (within the last two years, without a substantive post) seeking an exciting and supportive role to launch your career. Medics Primary Care Network are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join our team on a fixed-term salaried contract.
You will be a highly motivated and dedicated Newly Qualified GP to join our multidisciplinary team under the NHS Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).
Main duties of the job
* Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across the PCN.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, and social prescribers, to ensure integrated patient care.
* Conduct consultations, assessments, and follow-ups with patients, utilising ARRS-funded services to support patient needs.
* Contribute to the management of chronic disease, health promotion, and disease prevention in line with best practices and PCN goals.
* Support the development and implementation of new care pathways that align with ARRS objectives.

The Medics Primary Care Network (PCN) serves a population of circa 59,000 patients residing across Luton in Bedfordshire and is a mature and established Limited Company.
Working collaboratively with other partners to strengthen and support the delivery of Primary Care services, the PCN consists of 5 core GP practices: Woodland Avenue Practice, Medici Medical Practice, Gardenia & Marsh Farm Practice, Bell House Medical Centre, and Barton Hills Medical Group.
Medics PCN has a dedicated network site where many of the MDT, personalised care team, and clinicians work collaboratively to deliver a proactive approach to patient care.
Job responsibilities
* Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
* Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
* Providing counselling and health education.
* Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
* Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
* The post-holder will be required to visit patients during surgery time in an emergency if clinically indicated.
* The post-holder will undertake a fair % of On Call sessions per week as allocated on the practice rota and participate in the extended hours enhanced service.
* The post-holder will undertake a fair share of home visiting sessions per week as allocated.

* Newly qualified GP (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post) with full GMC registration and license to practice.
