Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.
We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.

The Role:
Our Planning team is growing and we are looking for motivated individuals to come and join us here at Avove, a business that cares about their colleagues. As an Operations Planner, you will ensure work is coordinated and scheduled efficiently for our Field Operatives who cover the North West.
This is a full-time permanent role based at our office in Oldham.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure efficient schedules are planned to the gangs using proximity planning & minimising travel time.
* Complete set productivity targets for planners.
* Plan a full schedule of works in line with the set targets i.e. commercial & to be planned ahead by at least 7 days.
* Ensure the external survey photos/information are sufficient to enable fluid planning of each job.
* Use of other systems/websites to aid efficient planning (e.g., Google Maps, One.Network, OneMap).
* Work closely with stores/supervisors to plan and complete jobs, ensuring any traffic management requirements are processed.
* Build effective working relationships with the field operations.
* Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Planning Team Leader.
* Call customers to book appointments where their presence is required.
* Review each day’s schedule as it progresses & call customers with updates where required.
Skills & Experience:
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* A drive to move forward and bring betterment in all that is done.
* Good IT Skills – Word/Excel.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* A good knowledge of the scheduling function.
