To work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary ADHD Service.
To work within the ADHD Clinic under the supervision of the ADHD Clinical Specialists/Practitioners.
To be responsible for triaging referrals and screening patients referred to the service as well as carrying an agreed case load as a band 5 Adult ADHD Practitioner providing specialist therapeutic interventions for adults with ADHD
Carry out screening assessments of people referred to the ADHD Pathway Work with an agreed caseload of people. Deliver workshops to groups of patients and professionals. Provide consultation and advice support to professionals in the community. Assist within the ADHD medication clinic, including the measurement of height, weight and blood pressure, following appropriate training and in-house assessment.
Be responsible for managing and prioritising own workload, and reviewing this on a regular basis with the ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist/Practitioner.
Develop therapeutic relationships with patients whilst providing clinical interventions where behaviours are often challenging and confrontational.
