DATA AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER HBC4 - £25,584 - £27,269 (pro-rata) PERMANENT POSITION – 37 HOURS PER WEEK – TERM TIME 5 days (195 days) COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible The school seeks to identify and employ a highly competent Data and Administration Officer who will provide consistent and positive support to the team of school staff, and the students. Core aspects of the post are to oversee student attendance information, collate and present data regarding attendance and behaviour within the school, process financial invoices, manage and update school information systems, manage the Reception area of the main school building, and provide administrative support for the staff of the school. In this role you will also be overseeing and implementing social media and website updates. The post requires a calm and resilient individual with excellent communication skills who will be able to respond sensitively but assertively to the diverse needs of the students and families who they will greet each day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to be well organised, helping to routinely guide staff with regard to information collation. The Bridge School is a Pupil Referral Unit for Secondary aged students. Many students experience varied barriers to learning, including developmental and behavioural challenges. Teaching staff and students will benefit from a proactive member of office staff who is able to anticipate their needs and independently develop structures that will support the smooth running of the school. Although you would not work directly with the young people in the school, you will have daily contact with them. The support and development of our student’s social skills, emotional needs and mental health is a core strand of the school’s remit. Subsequently, although you may not necessarily have experience working with this profile of young people, we require staff who understand the impact of these aspects of child development on an individual’s progress, participation and communication. You will need to be resilient and open minded, and you will actively seek to develop professional and supportive relationships with our students and families.
