You thrive in outdoor settings and are adept at managing both resources and team dynamics efficiently. What the job involves The job primarily involves the maintenance of designated areas such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, and caring for sports facilities. You'll undertake tasks like setting out sports areas, cleaning public spaces, and handling pesticide applications as per regulations. Responsibilities include equipment checks, inspection of playgrounds, and ensuring safety standards are met, while also potentially directing trainees and junior staff. Work requires the ability to drive, tow trailers, and operate machinery. You will follow the Departmental Health & Safety Policy, covering 43 hours per week from April to October, and 31 hours weekly from October to April. Skills Ability to work unsupervised Task allocation and adherence to schedules Proficiency in safe working practices Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation Familiarity with COSHH Regulations Experience with vibrating machinery and light plant Gardening and grounds maintenance skills Team collaboration and liaising with public First Aid (desirable) NPTC PA6A ticket (desirable)
