An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join an outstanding special needs school in Portsmouth.
This vibrant and growing school caters for children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and autism (ASD).
With the school undergoing significant expansion, this is a pivotal time to become part of their team and make a tangible difference to students' lives.
You will be responsible for teaching a KS1 or KS2 SEN class in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Initially, the role will be offered on a timesheet basis during the probation period, with the potential for a permanent contract following successful performance.
- Experienced and Qualified: Hold QTS with a strong background in special education, either in mainstream or SEN schools.
- Newly Qualified Teachers: Applications from newly qualified teachers or those transitioning from mainstream are also welcome.
- Motivated and Passionate: Demonstrate a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
- Believers in Potential: Firmly believe that all children are capable of making outstanding progress.
- Skilled or Willing to Learn: Ideally, have experience with PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or Team Teach. Full training will be provided if required.
