Purpose:
The Back of House Manager will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and ensuring smooth operations between the kitchen and front of house teams. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. The successful candidate will ensure that all kitchen activities are conducted efficiently and that the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained. Additionally, the Back of House Manager will collaborate closely with the front of house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee food storage, inventory management, and procurement, maintaining optimal stock levels for Kitchen and front of house.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste.
* Collaborate with the front of house manager to address any operational issues.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and FOH environment.
* Work closely with the front of house team to ensure efficient and seamless service.
* Coordinate between kitchen and front of house staff during service hours to manage workflow and resolve any issues promptly.
* Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
* Assist in cost control, optimising kitchen operations to achieve financial targets.
* Implement and monitor operational procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
* Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
