Role Summary
As the Transition Manager, you will support the KDN Transformation Director and KDN AE&I lead in managing the transition process for new business ventures, acquisitions, or organizational changes. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems to achieve business objectives. You will lead initiatives to drive efficiency, minimize disruptions, and optimize outcomes during the transition period.
How you will make your mark
1. Develop and execute comprehensive transition plans aligned with KDN’s strategic goals.
2. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
3. Lead and manage transition projects from initiation through completion.
4. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Finance, Operations, and Legal.
5. Establish timelines, milestones, and deliverables to track progress.
6. Implement change management strategies to support colleagues and stakeholders during transitions.
7. Communicate effectively to ensure understanding and buy-in from all affected parties.
8. Provide training and support to staff to facilitate adaptation to new processes and systems.
9. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the transition process.
10. Identify and allocate necessary resources (personnel, technology, budget) to support transition activities.
11. Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective execution of transition plans.
12. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of transition initiatives.
13. Conduct post-transition reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
This is the job for you if you have
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Significant experience in transition management, with a focus on acquisitions and integration projects.
3. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing large-scale transitions.
4. Experience in managing phased global transitions and leading cross-functional teams.
5. Expertise in change management and stakeholder engagement during transitions.
6. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams.
7. Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex situations.
8. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
10. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
11. Willingness to travel as needed.
