The duties of an Early Years Practitioner include, but are not limited to : Supporting Child Development: Plan and deliver activities that promote children’s learning and development. Observe progress and adapt activities to meet individual needs. Health and Safety: Ensure children's safety, promote hygiene, and follow health and safety procedures. Administer first aid when necessary. Safeguarding: Identify and report safeguarding concerns, providing a secure environment for children to thrive. Working with Families: Build positive relationships with parents, share progress, and encourage involvement in learning. Creating a Positive Environment: Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning space with appropriate resources. Promoting Positive Behavior: Support children’s social skills and encourage positive behavior and independence. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to planning, and share good practices. Professional Development: Stay updated with early years practices, attend training, and reflect on personal development. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality. These duties may evolve or expand based on the specific needs of the setting.
