An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join our team. Kings Ripton Court is an accommodation-based service that supports 36 young homeless people aged 16 to 25 years.
Key Responsibilities:
The Support Worker will develop and deliver a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. They will also model our values of integrity; accountability; compassion; passion; respect and boldness while working in a way that is trauma sensitive and strength based, within a psychologically informed environment.
The successful candidate(s) will:
1. Facilitate client meetings and participation.
2. Work with Young People to complete and review their support plan.
3. Design and deliver support that achieves successful outcomes.
4. Complete and review client risk assessment using person centred and trauma sensitive approaches.
5. Ensure their work is in line with legislation, guidelines, and policy as well as meeting contractual obligation and Key Performance Indicators.
6. Have good communication (written and verbal) with Colleagues, Young People and others working with our Young People.
7. Be able to work under pressure and make decisions while maintaining attention to detail and a sensitive approach.
8. Need to be in sympathy with the mission of The Salvation Army.
