The key objective is to drive the Outdoors Multichannel offering forward, ensuring that the full product range is surfaced online, while working closely with the offline merchandising team to identify and work through opportunities and challenges for your specific category throughout the year.
Job Title: Junior Multi Channel Merchandiser
Location: JD Group, Hollins Brook Way, Pilsworth, BL9 8RR
Working Rota: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Review daily and weekly sales trends, identifying areas of weakness and strength, working directly with the B&M teams to action changes to drive and increase sales.
2. Manage & work with the Assistant Merchandisers to action any changes identified to help increase sales.
3. Monitor live sales to identify fast sellers and provide feedback directly to B&M to ensure suitable stock cover.
4. Identify underperforming lines and categories and propose actions to the Senior Merchandiser / Trading Manager to improve sales.
5. Regularly review the entire business stock range to ensure all suitable lines are live and showcased suitably on site.
6. Review product attributes to ensure that site navigation, filters, and general customer journeys are optimised to maximise conversion.
7. Regularly review pricing across the outdoor sites to ensure the pricing strategy is being followed and highlight to the B&M team any issues.
8. Review VM of the websites and suggest improvements to the AM’s to maximise sales via combination of ranking blends & manual pins.
9. Work directly with the B&M teams to identify and prioritise seasonal sales drivers and feed this back through both the AM’s & content team to guarantee alignment around first to sight priorities.
10. Assist the Senior Multichannel Merchandiser with identifying product & brand performance trends within categories in order to help shape trading plans.
11. Ensure all onsite promotions are set up correctly and monitor performance daily to identify any possible errors/issues.
12. Compare store vs web sales weekly to identify any online sales shortfalls and review presentation to ensure maximum revenue.
13. Train new members of the team and support their long-term development.
Teamwork:
1. Reports to the Senior Multi-Channel Merchandiser.
2. Establish working relationships with divisional Buying & Merchandise teams, Multi-Channel, and Marketing teams.
3. Training and managing a direct report Assistant Merchandiser.
Key Deliverables:
1. Assist the Senior Multi-Channel Merchandiser to drive the channels and deliver agreed sales targets.
2. Apply best practice.
3. Build strong relationships with B&M team.
4. Identify opportunities.
5. Identify competitor threats.
6. Become expert in the use of online systems/tools: Aurora Commerce, Google Analytics, and Looker.
