1. To work with the COD and DoD in providing strong, clear visionary leadership to the whole directorate through team working to ensure effective operational management and delivery of the service. 2. To be responsible for hospital-wide compliance of national clinical quality, safety, and patient experience standards, risk management, IPC and improving patient outcomes. 3. Lead the development of the strategy for the Division and ensure the staff are fully engaged and supported in improvement, governance, safety, patient and staff experience matters and research is at the heart of every service. 4. Contribute to the NNUHs strategic aims and ensure the achievement of strategic objectives/deliverables, including the Patient Safety Strategy, the Patient Experience Strategy, The Education Strategy and the Chief Nurse 5-year Strategy for Nurses, Midwives and Clinical Professionals 5. Lead responsibility for developing and co-ordinating the Clinical Governance, Safety and Quality Improvement planning for the division, including workforce, advanced practice strategy, financial and service improvement to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes.
