Business Support Officer Administrator\nWe are looking for 2 part time candidates to support the following teams:-\nNewcastle Careers Team offers careers advice and guidance to young people supporting them into education, training or employment.\nThis role involves contacting young people using a variety of means (telephone calls, texts, email) to check current education, training or employment situation and signposting to the team for support if required.\nThis may also involve contacting parents or carers.\nThis role will include data input and record maintenance, to ensure that client records are up to date, accurate and of the required standard.\nCandidates will need excellent communication and IT skills, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.\nBusiness Support Officer Administrator\nThe post-holder will work 22.12 hrs per week and the hours of work will be 1.30pm until 7pm although there is some flexibility over how this will be worked.\nBusiness Support Officer Administrator\nThe second post is supporting the Access and Inclusion Service, the post-holder will need to have excellent IT skills, accuracy and attention to detail.\nThey will need to have experience in data input and excellent communication skills. The post is 22.12 per week and the hours of work are negotiable.\nThe posts will work from home and in the office at the Civic Centre, IT equipment will be provided and full training will be given.\nTo provide a range of service specific business and administrative support services to make sure Directorate needs are met in line with the Cabinet’s vision, priorities and values. Main duties: The following list is typical of the duties we expect you to carry out.
It is not necessarily exhaustive, and you may need to carry out other duties of a similar nature and level from time to time.\nTo take part in identifying and embedding business process improvements.\nTo deal with enquiries, including technical queries about the service in line with our procedures and protocols.\nTo collate and prepare management information as needed.\nTo work with nominated officers responsible for maintenance, repairs and security of designated buildings, giving administrative support as needed.\nTo give confidential administrative and secretarial support including arranging and servicing meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes as needed.\nTo give interactive WP support to the allocated service using digital, audio or copy typing.\nTo contribute to skills transfer activities by the demonstration of duties to support business continuity and to continually improve our service.\nTo develop and maintain positive joint working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.\nTo give a professional and courteous reception service as needed.\nTo account for, reconcile and make sure of the security of petty cash, stock and cash equivalents in line with our Financial Regulations.\nTo promote and implement our equal opportunities policies in all aspects of employment and service delivery.\nInterested Please apply
