Salary: Grade 3 - £24,027.00 pro rata
Teaching Assistant (Level One) - Primary Learning Resource Centre
Permanent - Full Time post (32.5 hours term time)
Start date: as soon as possible
Grade 3 - £24,027 for 32.5 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £18,538.54 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £18,943.32 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service.
The Governors of Neyland Community School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work within our new primary school Learning Resource Centre (LRC). The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the establishment of a team of highly motivated professionals who will work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to meet their potential. Specialist training will be made available.
Applicants must be an excellent classroom practitioner who:
1. Can work under the guidance of the teaching and/or senior staff, to deliver specialist resource base programmes for children with complex ALN.
2. Is able to assist with the development and implementation of individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Pastoral Care Programmes.
3. Will build positive relationships with all learners, their families and the LRC team.
4. Has the ability to create a supportive, welcoming, and well-ordered classroom environment.
5. Can demonstrate a reasonable standard of education with a GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and Literacy.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with high expectations for pupils' learning.
