Location: Commutable distance to Winchester / London. Whilst we offer a hybrid working model, it would be beneficial to be on-site at least 2 days a week.

The Role:
1. Conducts user research activities (interviews, focus groups, usability testing) to understand user needs and pain points.
2. Develops user personas and user journey maps to represent user behaviour and needs.
3. Defines information architecture for products, ensuring content is organised logically and is easily locatable by other teams.
4. Creates and owns wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to illustrate user flows and interaction design concepts.
5. Documents user research findings and design decisions.
6. Integrates feedback from multiple sources - including direct user interactions, team inputs, and market analysis - to inform and adjust product development strategies.
7. Ensures that product strategies are effectively translated into actionable UI/UX outcomes that directly address user needs and market demands.
8. Coaches cross-functional team members on best practice for UX and UI and helps build these skills beyond the PX team.
9. Creates standard libraries, approaches and outputs which can be re-used across multiple teams with the CTO org.
The Person:
1. Experience in product management environments, with a robust understanding of the dynamics between user experience, product design, and market alignment.
2. Substantial experience in a UX role or organisation.
Skills:
1. Expertise in user persona development, user journey mapping and information architecture.
2. Deep understanding of UX research methodologies (e.g. user interviews, usability testing, etc.), interaction design principles and best practices.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to conduct user interviews and facilitate focus groups and workshops.
4. Analytical thinker to design logical interviews and review research data to draw usable insights.
5. Creative mind to translate insights into actionable design recommendations.
6. Proficiency in agile methodologies and a user-centric approach to product development, emphasising iterative development and continuous improvement.
7. Understanding of UX/UI tools and methodologies to create outputs or analyse data, maintaining a high standard of quality and innovation.
8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to create strong user-centric outputs.
