The Vacancy
Personal care assistant required for young male
Our client is looking for a personal assistant for their son, who has a diagnosis of Autism, to support him with morning and evenings routines - getting ready for school, having breakfast and tea, bathing and getting ready for bed.
The successful candidate should pay close attention to detail and prioritise safety, due to our client's son having a mischievous personality. Our client's son is non-verbal but uses communication aids. He enjoys playing with toys, emptying and filling bottles and exploring the home environment. Our client's son enjoys his own company and independence, and interacts with others on his own terms. The successful candidate should therefore have excellent communication skills and enjoy engaging in play.
The role is 12.5 hours per week, paid at £11.44ph. The hours are to be worked Monday to Friday - 1 hour in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening. The role is based in Scunthorpe.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
If you would like to apply please email a copy of your CV to gboardman@hull-cvs.co.uk
