We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Builder to oversee property maintenance tasks across our portfolio of properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth running of our properties. This is a new position, and our goal is for the right candidate to build and manage their own maintenance team.
Main Duties:
* Visit properties to assess maintenance requirements and plan work accordingly.
* Carry out various maintenance tasks including decorating, repairs, tiling, painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, changing locks, and basic electrics.
* Conduct duties in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, always respecting the tenants.
* Complete all necessary administration and recording in accordance with company guidelines.
* Provide emergency call-out maintenance service as required, liaising with contractors, representatives, and suppliers when necessary.
* Conduct property inspections and ensure adherence to fire safety regulations.
* Check fire alarms regularly and address any issues promptly.
The Person:
* Self-driven, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, yet also capable of working collaboratively within a team.
* Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the property management sector.
* Hold a valid UK driving licence.
* Self-motivated with a desire for continual personal development.
* Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to provide long-term solutions.
* Multi-skilled across a range of maintenance tasks.
* Own car and tools are ESSENTIAL.
