Two leading universities are joining forces to address the urgent need for more pharmacists, nationally and in South West England. From September 2024, the highly ranked University of Bath MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy course will also be delivered at the University of Plymouth, significantly increasing the opportunities for students to study this subject in the region. For more information and to see other available roles, please visit - Join the University of Bath MPharm at Plymouth About the role Based at the University of Plymouth, you will be supporting teaching in brand-new, purpose-built pharmacy facilities, as well as laboratory and general teaching space across campus and working alongside staff teaching over 4,500 health and social care students in the Faculty of Health. You will be part of a team responsible for the provision of 2nd line support for specialist or advanced usage of all equipment, software and services supported by Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) at the University of Bath. This team is responsible for providing 2nd line field support for all use of IT equipment, software and services supported by DDaT. The Senior Service Analyst will work in collaboration with administrative and academic staff in order to offer operational learning technology support and advice, and to proactively support staff in their use of key learning systems and tools (for example Moodle, Xerte, PebblePad and Panopto). You will act as the point of escalation for incidents and changes and will provide technical leadership and expertise in their area. This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term with an expected duration of 24 months. About you Previous experience of supporting IT or Audio-Visual hardware, software or services (1st and 2nd tier) ideally in an academic environment. Broad and deep knowledge of current IT technologies and their application in a Higher Education context or similar. Proven experience of supervising or managing and developing an effective team in a complex environment. Knowledge of IT or hardware including servers, desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices Experience of installing, using and administering one or more computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Confident user of Microsoft Office products and able to provide advice and support on these products. Experience of using email and calendaring software in a business or academic environment IT networking knowledge. Please note, while the role will be mainly based out of the University of Plymouth, occasional travel to the University of Bath will be required.
