Customer Services Representative
* Annual Salary: £24k - £25k dep. experience.
* Location: Kendal, Cumbria
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
* Working hours Mon – Thurs 08.30 - 5pm and 08.30 – 4pm on Fridays.
We are seeking a Customer Services Representative to join our client’s team in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our client’s customers, handling a variety of tasks from order processing to problem-solving, and contributing to the smooth operation of the customer service functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Efficiently process and manage customer orders from entry to delivery.
* Address general customer enquiries and resolve specific issues.
* Coordinate with external warehouse providers and delivery/haulage companies.
* Support account and product managers, assisting them as needed.
* Cultivate excellent relationships with all external customers.
* Contribute to the improvement of current practices and the continuous development of the role.
* Perform office-related tasks and handle the picking, packing, and dispatching of sample and small orders from our Kendal warehouse.
* Assist in stock takes and other tasks as the role and business evolve.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Polite and effective phone manner.
* Experience in customer service is advantageous along with experience of working within an office environment.
* Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
* Keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and organise.
* Analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
* A calm and helpful approach to all customer interactions.
* Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the role.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* A clean driving licence.
