This is a one-year appointment and is designed to allow the post-holder to gain additional experience in General Surgery/Urology prior to applying for an ST3 post. Applicants would be expected to have completed or be working towards MRCS. The post-holders will have the opportunity to continue to develop their surgical skills and to participate in quality improvement and teaching within the department.
Main duties of the job
This post works as part of a combined surgical Rota. The post holder will be expected to work in their own specialty (General Surgery/Urology) during the normal working day shift, and hold the on-call bleep for both specialties when on call (long day/weekend day/night shifts).
