We have an extensive Australian and Imported portfolio, exclusively representing some of the best known brands which have become household favourites.
Our Wholesale distribution division services on and off-premise accounts (including national retailers and wholesalers, bars, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bottle shops, hotels, corporates, independent retailers and more) across Australia. We also have company owned brands that have been established over many years such as Taylor Ferguson and many others.

About the role
An opportunity has arisen within our Wholesale business for a full-time professional, who is highly motivated, experienced and knowledgeable in alcoholic beverages to join our team, focussed on managing and growing our client base.
The position will report directly to the National Sales Manager. Ideally you will be living locally and manage a territory of on-premise and off-premise customers.
Responsibilities will include (not limited to) the following:
* Performing a regular call cycle (physical calls, and electronic communication) with customer accounts within the sales territory, including developing and managing the accounts.
* Retain, manage and grow the existing customer base through developing positive relationships, understanding the customer profile and providing tailored product offerings based on their needs.
* Grow the customer base through warm and cold leads, plus using your existing network to achieve budgeted sales targets, and continued growth above industry performance.
* Focusing on identifying and securing new accounts within the geographical territory to add to the Alepat Taylor customer base and to enhance our geographical reach.
* Developing, supporting and implementing innovative sales strategies based on growing long-term relationships.
* Supporting and implementing brand and product promotional programs.
* Working collaboratively with fellow Sales Area Managers to share brand and product knowledge, drive sales growth and retain customer accounts.
* Working collaboratively with the Production and Warehouse departments regarding customer deliveries, as required.
* Provide regular reporting (using standard templates) on call visits and sales outcomes.
* Overall using your best endeavours to promote, protect, develop and grow the Alepat Taylor business and being part of a winning team who is driven by sustainable growth by supporting our customers to grow their business.
What we are looking for:
* A goal-driven, professional approach with a strong ability to develop new and existing relationships with multiple accounts in a strategic manner.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* A good understanding of the hospitality and beverages industry, including ideally through previous experience in sales with a sound knowledge across all categories.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a broader team – better together approach.
* Take ownership of allocated work tasks and deadlines, with attention to detail.
* Proactive, motivated and confident with a positive, can-do attitude – including the ability to demonstrate initiative and think outside the square.
* Someone with an existing network and relationships across, on premise and off-premise within Melbourne is not critical however, highly valued. The ability to easily identify sales and new account opportunities across the full spectrum of on and off-trade venues.
* Exceptional personal presentation.
