Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career with the clinical freedom to grow and develop? Our client, an independent Tier 3 RCVS accredited small animal hospital near the royal town of Windsor, Berkshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The practice has a proud history, having provided expert care to the pets of Berkshire for over 150 years. As one of the first hospitals in the UK to be awarded Veterinary Hospital status in the 1970s, they continue to maintain the highest standards of care. The hospital is located in a semi-rural setting with easy access to Windsor's cultural landmarks, independent shops, and restaurants. The excellent travel links, proximity to London, and nearby green spaces make this a highly desirable location.
As an independent practice, they enjoy the freedom to make decisions that prioritise patient care, continually investing in the latest equipment and treatments. The hospital is well-equipped with an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, X-ray facilities, orthopaedic equipment, and two fully-equipped operating theatres.
The successful candidate will join a team of seven vets, including two certificate holders in advanced veterinary practice and small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging. You will be supported by a dedicated team of 11 nurses, experienced receptionists, and administrative staff. You will primarily work at the RCVS-accredited hospital, with occasional duties across the other two branches, focusing on delivering first opinion care. This includes consulting, performing surgical procedures, diagnostics, dentistry, and inpatient care.
The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of first opinion practice and passionate about providing the highest levels of care to clients and patients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team are essential.
