Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and compassionate leader to drive a pioneering Step-Down and Complex Care service for children and young people with complex emotional and mental health needs. This role spans both residential (Ofsted-regulated) and community-based (CQC-regulated) care settings and will be delivered by a consortium of health and social care partners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
1. Design and implement the consortium's integrated step-down care model.
2. Represent the service with stakeholders including NHS, ICBs, Ofsted, and CQC.
3. Promote a trauma-informed, co-productive culture.
Operational Oversight
1. Oversee service delivery, governance, and safeguarding.
2. Ensure high standards across both residential and community-based settings.
Financial & Growth Leadership
1. Develop the service's business plan and pricing strategy.
2. Lead on commissioning engagement, bids, and tenders.
Compliance & Governance
1. Ensure compliance with Ofsted, CQC, and legislative frameworks.
2. Lead audits, registration, and policy development.
People & Culture
1. Line manage senior clinical and operational leads.
2. Embed trauma-informed care and support staff wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
Essential
1. Senior leadership experience in children's care, mental health, or complex care.
2. Knowledge of Ofsted/CQC frameworks and safeguarding.
3. Experience developing or scaling specialist care models.
4. Strong strategic, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
1. Qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or equivalent.
2. Background in system transformation or integrated care pathways.
Benefits
1. Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 DOE
