Our HR department plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive HR services to the firm. From recruitment and resourcing to talent management, employee relations, and compliance, we ensure the optimal management and welfare of our personnel. What You'll Do: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of the monthly UK payroll for over 1,000 employees, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and company policies. Manage all payroll-related queries from HMRC and employees at all levels. Prepare and submit year-end documentation, including P60s, P11Ds, and related reports. Keep up to date with payroll legislation changes and industry standards, ensuring ongoing compliance and making recommendations for improvements where necessary. Collaborate with the HR department on payroll-related matters and employee records. Manage absence-related payroll processes, including SSP, SMP, SAP, and others. Support the administration of workplace pension schemes, including enrolment, contributions, and reporting requirements. Provide payroll assistance for employee benefits administration. Work closely with the Finance team to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues. Assist in processing international payrolls with an external payroll provider. Analyse payroll data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements. Provide training and support to junior payroll staff and other departments on payroll-related matters. What We're Looking For: CIPP qualification is preferred. Experience with a variety of payroll software is desirable. Demonstrable experience in a payroll role within a fast-paced environment is essential. In-depth knowledge of UK payroll processes, legislation, and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex payroll information clearly. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy. Experience working with external providers for international payroll is desirable but not essential.
