We’re looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Administration Assistant to join our HR department in Exeter to support our Learning & Development (L&D) team on a full time and permanent basis.
You will provide generalist administration support to the L&D team, including data inputting, preparing and generating reporting information and assisting in the co-ordination of training events, often taking on a ‘front of house’ role. You will play a key part in ensuring the Learning Hub System is kept up to date, including inputting training records ownership of the L&D inbox and making sure emails are responded to in a timely, accurate and professional manner. You will also help provide diary management for other members of the team, and provide any other required administrative assistance when required. You will play a pivotal role in developing positive working relationships across the firm and particularly with some of our business support colleagues.
Although this role is the lead administrative support to the L&D team, you will be required to provide support and cover for the wider HR department, including for the generalist HR and Talent Attraction team.
We see this role as essential to the smooth running of the L&D and wider HR department, so this is an exciting opportunity to make a valuable contribution as part of a supportive and friendly team.
Who you are
With previous experience in an administrative role in a fast-paced team, you will have proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, preferably with some events management experience in a professional services business.
Known as being someone who is organised and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’ll naturally be well-organised and able to prioritise and enjoy being a part of a busy team. You’ll demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the business, always acting professionally and ethically to ensure confidentiality and raise any challenges when needed.
With strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional attention to detail, focus and accuracy, you’ll be recognised as a strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for building effective working relationships across all levels, whilst having the confidence to work independently and support at events when required.
Ask our people, and they will tell you that they genuinely enjoy coming to work and spending time with their colleagues. We’re confident that once you discover our open and friendly culture, it won’t take long for you to feel the same.
