This is an opportunity to join the Libertatem Healthcare Group as a Brain Injury Support Worker in St. Austell, Cornwall. The role involves providing general care, assistance with daily living activities, emotional support, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the client.
Main duties of the job
The Brain Injury Support Worker will be responsible for engaging with the client's personalized routines, providing verbal prompting, emotional support, and companionship. They will also assist with accessing the community, meal and food preparation, and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
Job responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen to join our team for a client based in St Austell, Cornwall.
Our client needs assistance with general care with minimal personal care, helping with dressing along with medication management as well as food and meal preparation.
For this role you must be able to drive as well as have access to your own vehicle.
Working Hours:
7 hours per day (9-4pm or 10-5pm) for 5 days a week – the days will change on a weekly basis as their partner also assists caring for the client, giving you variety and flexibility.

Requirements:
* Previous experience in PTSD/ Visual Impairment would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
