Ocean Infinity is seeking Geotechnical Payload Supervisors to assist with the installation, intervention maintenance and operation of our geotechnical assets, Infinity CPT, Sonic Corer and Ocean Drill, which will be deployed from our Armada Series vessels. What will you do: Be proficient in operating, maintaining and fault finding on geotechnical payloads and assets – Infinity CPT series and Ocean Drill series; Travel globally up to 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off to assist in the mobilisation, intervention and maintenance of geotechnical assets; You will lead a team colleagues (payload intervention Technicians - Geotechnical) with similar competence and duties to support our geotechnical assets in the field and in company workshops; Work closely with the Asset Management and Service Delivery teams to ensure geotechnical assets, spares and all other associated equipment are maintained and operable, thus maximising the assets uptime and productivity; You will be responsible for supplier interaction at a technical and OPEX level, as well as liaison with the procurement team to drive delivery in support of this area of responsibility. Be responsible for performance of the tasks within the preventative maintenance program; Be responsible for updating of maintenance records and recording of tasks; Recognise anomalous occurrences or asset states and proactively intervene where appropriate; Be familiar with the operational procedures relating to the optimal performance of the geotechnical assets; Be familiar with the industry standards that can influence geotechnical asset performance and ensure that the assets are maintained within the appropriate performance requirements; Liaise with the Asset Manager and Service Delivery Teams, assisting with technical support in the operation of geotechnical assets, acting as the first line of defence for any breakdown or failure of equipment; Work in a manner that ensures their own and their co-worker’s safety; Be familiar with the applicable sections of the company HSE policy and actively participate in all safety related briefing such as Toolbox Talks related to the assigned system or tasks; Responsible for maintaining awareness during the performance of their duties, recognizing the effect changes which may have on safe performance; Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all colleagues; Participate in project briefing and familiarization meetings held; Champion new technology with a focus on autonomous operations and robotics. Who you are: Technical or operational background in mechanical or electrical systems or both; Experience with geotechnical systems with particular focus on CPT or drilling operations; Full Driving License; Valid Passport; Fluent in both written and spoken English; Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others; Interested in others and strives to act in the best interests of the team; Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work; Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose; Critical thinking and ability to show initiative; Open and receptive to new and different ideas; Ability to work well in a team and independently; Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet. Desirable: Marine based technical qualifications; Hydraulics maintenance experience; Forklift license; First Aider. Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
