They are now looking for an experiencedHead of Science and Innovationbringing senior leadership to several important areas of the business, developing technical and regulatory function and shaping well-established scientific training and education effortstaking work with healthcare professionals to the next level. You will play a key role in commercial decision making and strategy formulation.
Head of Science and Innovation, your responsibilities:
Scientific Innovation and Academia relationships -managing company's long-term scientific strategy; aligning scientific goals with business and brand objectives; building and maintaining relationships with research institutions, academics and other stakeholders; collaborating with academic partners driving their involvement in clinical research, securing research grants, and contributing to innovative clinical trial designs; demonstrating strong scientific and commercial awareness, understanding market trends, product innovation and identifying opportunities
Technical and Regulatory department: supporting review and improvement of existing products, build a pipeline and launch exciting new products; collaborating in writing and executing the Tactic briefs, setting quarterly milestones and deliverables, to support the overall Company Strategy; advising the business on health and medicinal claims labelling and advertising regulations and rules, supporting cross-functionally at a high level to register products in international markets
Healthcare Professionals Liaison (HPL) team: providing leadership and strategic direction, driving efforts to expand and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals in UK and internationally; reaching more healthcare professionals, deepen their understanding of the scientific credentials behind products, and inspire their confident recommendation (across multiple markets); ensuring effective communication of scientific findings, product information, or clinical guidelines to healthcare professionals; managing necessary tools and platforms that make reach possible within budget provided; improving business reach and availability in secondary care (i.e. NHS)
Training and Education: leading and inspiring the scientific training and education team; fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement by supporting team members, delivering best-in-class training on a broad variety of topics, and to a broad variety of audiencesboth internal, external, UK & international
Head of Science and Innovation, skills and experience:
Degree in life sciences, healthcare, nutrition, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience within natural products, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries
Success in Senior leadership team - contributing to strategy, budgets, and business growth
Knowledge of new product development - from conception through to launch
Ability to develop and execute high-impact strategies across 4 different departments
Team Leader - capable to lead, champion and develop diverse teams
Understanding of industry dynamics, competitive positioning, and identifying opportunities for business expansion
Skilled in managing technical and regulatory aspects while keeping sight of broader goals
Comfortable with simplifying complex information into compelling narratives
Proactive in overcoming challenges and adjusting strategies as needed
Confident in representing the business at industry events, with flexibility to travel
Desirable:
Knowledge of supplement regulations and compliance and healthcare professional strategies
Background in medical education or professional training for healthcare providers
