Role Description
To work collaboratively with and support the Independent Financial Advisers, Directors and Adviser Support team in line with Melville Core Brand Values commitments to our Clients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide full administrative support directly to financial advisers and clients as part of a wider team, ensuring all documentation is accurate and processed in line with agreed service standards.
2. Obtain information, plan valuations, key features and illustrations required by advisers to enable them to research clients’ needs prior to recommendations, as and when required.
3. Process new business from submission to completion in adherence to the service standards and operational Wealth Management procedures and activity management.
4. Maintain compliant client records in shared electronic folders and on the current back office system, Xplan.
5. Ensure scanning and saving of all documents to Xplan in line with agreed file structure.
6. Manage Client Periodic Assessments of Suitability with advisers ensuring that these are actioned and completed in line with agreed service levels.
7. Maintain compliant review dates for periodic assessments of suitability.
8. Carry out all client administration in line with Compliance guidance as well as central policies and updates and department standard operating procedures.
Other Duties
1. Cover for colleagues during holidays, sickness and busy periods (at line manager's request).
2. Ensure main duties of the team as a whole are carried out fully and in an efficient and professional manner.
3. Attend and be prepared to contribute to team meetings.
4. Effectively communicate to line manager any problems or worries in relation to carrying out own duties, or with regard to the functioning of the team.
Required Skills
1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the working practices and regulations operating within the Financial Services Industry.
2. Possess technical knowledge of products liable to be offered to clients, including all pensions, investment and protection contracts.
3. Ability to operate on own initiative or as part of a team.
4. Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan and prioritise workload.
5. Ability to communicate confidently and comfortably at all levels with all clients on behalf of the Company as required.
6. Knowledge of financial services software, including Xplan and Genovo.
7. Have the confidence to offer ideas and solutions that will enhance our offering.
