Chippenham Town Council is one of the largest and most active Town Councils in the UK, with an aspiration of improving the quality of town life for present and future generations whilst putting the priorities of our residents and climate considerations at the heart of everything we do. The role of the Town Council is to ensure Chippenham is a thriving community and a healthy, vibrant, and attractive place in which to work, live and visit.
Chippenham Town Council hosts various events throughout the year at our historical Town Hall and Neeld venues. We have recently completed a refurbishment project which has added a front-of-house area with a bar and box office.
We are looking for someone to join our venues team in a job-share role that mixes operational and administrative support with customer service.
All about the role:
Main Purpose of Role
To provide organisational and administrative support to the venues team, maintain high standards of customer service to patrons of the Neeld and Town Hall and drive opportunities to create revenue through Chippenham Town Councils venues. This includes booking of the Councils facilities to community and corporate hirers, co-ordination of bar services and running of the box office.
