Critical to achieving Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s aims to support nature’s recovery, help people connect with nature and live more sustainably, this is an exciting post offering the opportunity to contribute directly to raising the profile of the Trust within Wiltshire and beyond. This post offers a lot of scope to develop high profile communications, advocacy and campaigns to our varied audiences. By helping build and protect our brand you will be able to grow our reach and influence and enhance our reputation across Wiltshire, Swindon and beyond. The role holder will have the reward of inspiring people and organisations to support and take action for conservation, sustainability and the benefit of communities where we work.
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with a demonstrable interest in and passion for the environment to support all our Comms work with particular expertise of engaging broad audiences via a wide variety of digital channels. The appointee will work closely with the Marketing and Comms Manager. An ability to contribute to and implement communications plans, campaigns and appeals that engage and grow our audiences to help deliver the charity’s strategic aims ( is essential.
The successful candidate will be innovative, creative, confident and able to seize the initiative, working calmly under pressure to manage multiple deadlines across our communications channels. We are looking for a strong and diplomatic communicator who can inspire and help diversify audiences by creating compelling content, including online adverts, tailored to their interests and needs as well as nuanced for different channels. The appointee will be a good relationship builder who is familiar and confident building relationships online with influencers, local organisations and partners.
