FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Northamptonshire base - UK and European Coverage (ideally based near Kettering, Corby or Northampton)

Our client is based near Northampton and is part of an established Group that specializes in the provision of bespoke materials handling solutions to a diverse range of customers and industry sectors worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their established and professional engineering service team installing and maintaining a range of handling solutions and supporting customers at locations throughout the UK and internationally as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake a broad range of both reactive and PPM activities on a range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
2. Carry out service calls on a planned preventative and reactive basis at customer premises.
3. Undertake Preventive Service Maintenance and repair of customer's site equipment and other manufacturer's products and systems.
4. Communicate activity and requirements with the customer in a clear and concise manner.
5. Report via job sheets the activities carried out and faults found during service.
6. Train customers and their technicians in the use of and service and maintenance of equipment.
7. Assist in the installation and commissioning of any machines.
Complying with all Health and Safety Requirements, you will be flexible in your approach to the position and able to carry out tasks with little or no site supervision, while possibly being time-restrained in carrying out those tasks.
It is envisaged that the successful Field Service Engineer candidate will currently be working in a similar Plant and Equipment arena, probably within a maintenance environment, and will demonstrate experience of working with Materials Handling Equipment and Automatic process equipment with a solid mechanical background. You will have multi-skilled experience and as the role is field-based, you will be comfortable working in various locations and varied environments under your own initiative.
