Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Our client are an industrial automation experts, specialising in robotics and aerospace. Based in the Dorchester area, they have many years of experience delivering state-of-the-art solutions to industry leaders and household names. They have developed a reputation for solving difficult industrial and engineering problems.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical solutions for robot-based systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams where your expertise in electrical engineering will be crucial in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient solutions to the Defence & Aerospace industry.
Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Design & develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems.
* Utilise EPLAN electrical design software to create electrical schematics and 2D electrical panel layouts.
* Collaborate across departments to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
* Assist the workshop team to fault find and identify solutions.
* Generate and manage technical documentation aligning with product development process.
* Travel to client sites across the UK, particularly within the defence and aerospace sectors.
Electrical Design Engineer Background Experience:
* Previous experience in an electrical design role or a position requiring electrical design skills.
* Proficient in creating electrical schematics and 2D panel layouts.
* Experience with EPLAN electrical design software. (Advantageous)
* Effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, capable of providing detailed technical information in both written and verbal English.
* A good problem-solver, willing to learn new technologies and to get hands-on when required.
* Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Valid UK driving licence.
