Key Stage 1 Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position

Start Date: April 2025
A highly reputable primary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) teacher to join its permanent staff from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to become part of a nurturing and high-achieving school community.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to KS1 pupils, fostering a love for learning and ensuring excellent progress. They will work collaboratively with a supportive team to create a stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
2. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
3. Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement
5. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development
6. Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Experience teaching in KS1, either as a class teacher or in a substantial placement
3. A thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
4. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. A passion for teaching and a dedication to continuous professional development
