About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled HGV Technician to join our growing fleet maintenance team in Tipton. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
1. Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs in a fleet environment.
2. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with industry regulations.
3. Perform brake, suspension, and axle repairs, as well as welding and structural repairs.
4. Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.
5. Adhere to health and safety standards while working in a busy workshop.
6. Work effectively with other technicians and contribute to team success.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an HGV Technician, ideally within a fleet maintenance environment.
2. Ability to work independently and to deadlines in a fast-paced workshop.
3. Full UK driving license (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential).
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
1. IRTEC accreditation.
2. Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds).
3. Experience in tail lift, lifting deck, or double-deck trailer maintenance.
