About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Leicester a category B remand prison and HMP Gartree a Category B prison, both based in Leicestershire. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop the Psychology services on both sites working along side the experienced integrated mental health teams. This role would be suit an experienced Psychologist who is familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity and historic trauma. Suitable applicants must be familiar with trauma informed approaches and enjoy working as part of a team. Hours Monday to Friday 2 days at HMP Leicester 3 days at HMP Gartree Salary This is a full time role offering up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider Psychological Therapies team Support with ISW training Post-doctoral training- supervision Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks What you'll be doing As a qualified, HCPC registered Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) in the form of training, supervision and reflective practice Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations Deliver and oversee the delivery of 1:1 psychological interventions and group intervention as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation and research profile as appropriate It doesn't stop there we also offer: Discounts on shopping and leisure activities Support to grow in your role and continue your professional development 24/7 employee assistance helpline and financial assistance when you need it Free use of gym Free on site parking What we'll look for in you The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group makes a real difference across over 53 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. Qualifications required Qualified clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist Registered with the HCPC Postgraduate qualification/training in at least one specific mode of psychological therapy relevant to people with severe and long standing mental health difficulties Experience of providing evidence based psychological interventions Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams and work with trauma informed practice Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
