Job Description
Job Duties:
* Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting
* Assist with personal care and hygiene routines as needed
* Support the pupil's educational and social development within the classroom environment
* Implement individualised learning plans and strategies under the guidance of the SENCo
* Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
* Training or qualification in Teaching Assistant (TA) role
* Understanding of ASD and strategies to support individuals with ASD
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and teaching methods
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and understanding towards pupils with SEND
Preferred Qualifications:
* Higher-level qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs
* First Aid training
Working Conditions:
* Temporary position with the possibility of extension
* Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
* Work within a primary school in Louth, Lincolnshire
* Close collaboration with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff
