Stockport School is looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to support teaching, learning and progress, and the development of independent learning skills of students with additional learning needs, particularly including those with EHCPs and those at SEN School Support.
Candidates should be well qualified with strong GCSE passes in at least English and mathematics at minimum grades C or 4 and above, including additional strong GCSE and/or A Level passes (or equivalent) in other subject areas. It would also be desirable for a candidate to be a graduate with a good Honours Degree or other Higher Educational qualification, Qualified Teacher Status, or Teaching Assistant qualified Status.
The hours of work are 31.33 per week, 8.30am - 4.00pm (except Thursday 8.30am – 3.50pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.00pm) on a term time, plus 2 Inset Training days only contract. Additional paid overtime hours are also available to attend meetings where necessary, and to supervise reading & literacy interventions, student enrichment clubs, lunch duties, and student work at lunchtime and after school).
