About this Role
Due to the promotion the current postholder, we are looking to recruit a Second in Maths Teacher. The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Department (Learning Leader) to lead and manage the department across the entire subject. This will involve:
* Keeping up to date with subject development, including statutory obligations, national and local requirements
* Communicating and liaising with staff, students, parents, governors and members of the local community as appropriate
* Mentoring ECTs, ITTs, Cover Supervisors and any student teachers as required
* Maintaining a teaching timetable, modeling outstanding practice in terms of classroom teaching, preparation, marking and assessment
* Attending and representing at Middle Leader meetings, in the absence of the Learning Lead.
