Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit a time-serviced Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Stockton on Tees on a permanent basis.
The role is a day shift role, Monday to Friday; however, flexibility for call-out is required.
The successful applicant will be responsible for performing all mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks on site at our client's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a multifaceted role that requires a broad skill set.
This role involves the execution of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, which are critical for the smooth operation and longevity of the systems in place. The individual in this role must be capable of self-delivering these services while adhering to H&S standards.
The routine mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks that this role encompasses include, but are not limited to, the maintenance of various machines, compressors, boiler systems, and general day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
In addition to multiskilled maintenance, the role will also involve general day-to-day maintenance duties such as painting, general handywork, and cable laying. These tasks might not be as technically complex as mechanical or electrical work, but they still require a certain level of skill and knowledge.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics
3. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools
4. Ability to perform a wide range of handyman tasks
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
8. Relevant certifications
